Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: August 2026

DistrictBinder exists to make public governance more transparent and more trustworthy. Using the platform in ways that undermine that purpose — or that harm districts, their staff, or their communities — is not permitted.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Access or attempt to access another district's data, another user's account, or any part of the Service you are not authorized to use.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written authorization, or interfere with its operation (including automated scraping that degrades service, denial of service, or circumvention of rate limits).
  • Upload malicious code, or content you do not have the right to store or publish.
  • Use public participation features (public comments, speaker sign-ups) to harass, impersonate, or deceive, or to submit unlawful content.
  • Publish personally identifiable student information to public-facing portions of the platform.

Districts are responsible for their users' compliance with this policy. We may suspend access that presents a security risk to the platform or to other districts, and we will notify district contacts when we do.

To report abuse or a security vulnerability: admin@districtbinder.com. Good-faith security research reported responsibly will never result in legal action from us.
