Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. The service

DistrictBinder provides board governance and policy management software for school districts, including meeting management, policy libraries, public transparency portals, and related analysis tools (the "Service"). Access is provided under an agreement with your district; individual accounts are provisioned by district administrators.

2. District data

Districts retain all rights to the data they and their communities submit to the Service ("District Data"). We process District Data only to provide and improve the Service for the district, as described in our Security & Privacy overview, and as directed by the district. Upon termination, we will return or delete District Data at the district's request.

3. Acceptable use

Use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Districts are responsible for the accuracy of records they publish and for managing access for their users.

4. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and performant, and we communicate maintenance windows and incidents to district contacts. Specific service levels, if any, are set out in the district's agreement.

5. Disclaimers

The Service supports — but does not replace — the district's own legal and compliance judgment. Legislative and policy analysis features are informational aids and do not constitute legal advice.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to district contacts in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
